St George’s is a very active church with many activities available through all ages.
The activities listed below were the ‘normal’ events within the church family, until the COVID pandemic intervened.
Accordingly, all of these events are subject to current restrictions, but at least the list will give any visitor a chance to see how active we are.
Little Dragons: for pre-school aged children and their carers; meeting on Tuesdays during term time from 10:00 am.
Friday Club: for Primary school aged children; meeting on Fridays during term time at 6:30 pm.
Choir: meeting on Fridays during term time at 7:30 pm. for the junior choir and 8:00 pm. for the senior choir.
Bell ringers: who practice at 7:30 pm. on most Thursdays.
Flowers: a group of talented people who arrange the flowers in the church.
Messy Church runs at St George’s Church on the first Wednesday of the month from 3.30 – 5.30.
‘Pray Bake Read’ is a project adopted from the Lichfield Diocese, which engages the local Primary School
Friday coffee: coffee (or tea) and biscuits are served from 10:00 am – 12:00 noon.
‘Who Let the Dad’s Out’ meets on the second Saturday of the month (unless stated on St George’s publicity), at St George’s Church from 9.30am — 11.30 am
Men’s breakfast: this group meets in the Horseshoes Inn on the last Saturday morning of the month (except August) at 8:30 am. for a light breakfast, quiz and a talk.
Mothers Union: usually meets on the Third Tuesday of the month at 2:30 pm.
