Confirmation marks the point in the Christian journey where those who have been baptised as children make a firm commitment to Christian discipleship.

If you are interested in finding out more about the Christian Faith and how it could make a difference to your life, please enquire about the next Confirmation Course at St George’s. We normally have a course running each year. A confirmation course allows you to explore with other people the meaning of faith and the presence of Christ through receiving the bread and wine of communion.

Rt Revd Alistair Magowan, Bishop of Ludlow

After a short confirmation course, there will be a Confirmation Service to mark the transition of commitment to Christian discipleship for all the candidates. Through prayer and the laying on of hands by a bishop, the Church also asks God to give those being confirmed power, through the Holy Spirit, to live the life of discipleship.
